NTAC’s Board of Directors, Rev. Dr. Valerie Oliver-Durrah, President and CEO; Rev. Sylvia Kinard, Esq., Chair; Rev. Kanyere Eaton, Vice Chair and Gayle Gilbert, Secretary/Treasurer have guided a special mission to build sound, stable community-based and faith-based nonprofits whose works attract the investment of public and private funders, grant makers and foundations for more than 20 years.

Rev. Sylvia Gail Kinard, Esq. is a well-respected attorney, entrepreneur and community leader. Her demeanor is one of confidence and grace. She has distinguished herself as an expert in faith-based community development, as an advocate for the formerly incarcerated and for expanding small business opportunities for women and minorities.

Rev. Kanyere Eaton brings experience in social work, philanthropy and substance abuse recovery to the NTAC Board.  As Pastor Eaton she is the first woman to serve as Senior Pastor of Fellowship Covenant in the 114 year history of that congregation. She has been in active ministry for nearly twenty eight years; between 2000 and 2010 she led The Sister Fund, a private women’s foundation in New York City, as its executive director.

Gayle Gilbert, NTAC’s Secretary/Treasurer has 40 years of progressively successful private sector, healthcare and government sales management experience with Fortune 500 companies. She is currently a  worldwide account manager  cultivating strategic business partnerships, and negotiating contracts with state government and higher education . Ms. Gilbert brought this expertise to trainings throughout Asia, Brazil and other countries around the globe.  She is the mother of one son and 2 grandchildren.
